Education Quality Improvement Program Farooqnagar Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, Telangana State

Our dedicated and sustained efforts have meant that Burgula Grampanchayat schools are now considered amongst the best in rural Telangana. Encouraged by this, we have decided to extend support to the neighboring villages of entire Farooqnagar Mandal, consisting of about 100 government elementary and high schools.

The main idea is to provide facilities for 13,000 indigent students, particularly girls, to improve their education experience. The primary goal is to improve the reading and writing abilities of the students, and their results in the annual exams. The government officials will motivate students, parents, villagers and teachers to improve attendance and enrolment, while decreasing dropout rates in the schools. Some highlights of a comprehensive plan developed in collaboration with the Education Commissioner, Telangana State, at an estimated cost of Rs 1 crore

( $150,000) are outlined below:

  • Set up library in each school and inculcate a habit of regular reading can be inculcated in the students
  • Provide digital equipment for three schools
  • Provide academic achievement prizes annually
  • Improve the educational experience for the students
  • Recognize schools for improving daily attendance, enrolment and hygiene
