Community Services

Our board members have 

  • Served indigent patients for more than fifteen hundred hours at the Good Neighbor house, Five Rivers and Reach Out Montgomery free clinics in Montgomery County, Ohio;
  • Prepared handouts with simple and easy to follow advice to the uninsured patients regarding lifestyle modifications designed to reduce the risks of chronic illnesses; and,
  • Mentored the medical students and resident physicians on the preventable links between chronic illnesses and lifestyle risk factors at these clinics.

  • Medical students and residents at almost all the Dayton area hospitals
  • Public health schools in Dayton,Ohio
  • Regional National Kidney Foundation meeting in Columbus 
  • Grand rounds at Kettering Hospital 
  • The medical students ‘healthy habits week’ celebration at Wright State University
  • Free Clinics of Ohio Conference, Columbus 
  • Asian American Youth Council Of Dayton 
  • Annual kidney walks and KEEP screening programs in Ohio
  • Annual Polycystic Kidney Disease Walk since 2011
  • Wellness awareness groups
  • Childhood obesity initiative of American Association of Physicians of Indian origin (AAPI), prepared educational material and increased awareness
  • Presentations in the community
  • Montgomery County Public Health Department as partners in disseminating the lifestyle modification message in the community
  • Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Fund creation at an area hospital to increase awareness of CKD in the community
  • Local media collaboration
  • Organizing 5K Walk/Run

 

Between 2011 and 2014, Global Pragathi was known as Stop N Check Movement.
