‘Farooqnagar Mandal Education Improvement Project’ was planned in
collaboration with the Education Commissioner of Telangana State in 2017, to impact 13,000 indigent children. Ninety-nine schools were taken up in the Mandal after improving conditions for 1000
children in eight schools of Burgula.
Goal: Improved enrolment, attendance, academic performance with
10th class pass percentage close to 100% in 1stattempt, career counseling, improved 3 R’s and decreased drop-outs from school, with particular emphasis on girl
education.
Our efforts so far:
- Creation of ninety-nine libraries in ninety-nine schools
- Examination pads to motivate 1400 ninth class students
- English to Telugu dictionaries in all the schools
- Annual Academic Recognition awards for 10th class students in Mandal
- Annual Recognition of schools and teachers for academic excellence in Mandal
- 850 benches and desks in 15 schools in collaboration with Rotary Club.
- Floor mats for ninety-nine schools
- Musical Instruments for all the high schools
- Spreading the message of 100% pass rate in 10th class in the entire mandal
- Arranging science experiments in all the high schools of mandal
- Student Empowerment Training (SET) program for all high schools
- Sneha Program—Menstrual Hygiene Program done since 2015
- Career counseling programs for students along with NGO Nirmaan
- Summer classes in Burgula panchayat
- Computers for digital literacy in Burgula gram panchayat
- Support for Chattanpalli Primary School
- Digital Class Rooms in all 15 high schools of mandal
- Improving toilets in the villages
- Massive campaign in the entire mandal about this project to inform all the sarpanches, ward members, MPDO, DEO, MEO, DPO and secretaries
of the villages

- SMILES Preventive Health Education in all schools
